Mawddach Trail

The Mawddach Trail is a multi-use path which follows the old disused railway line along the edge of the beautiful Mawddach estuary. The 9.5 mile (15km) path goes from Dolgellau to Barmouth, however there are several points that you join onto the path. You can cross over the estuary by walking over Barmouth Bridge or using the Penmaenpool Toll Bridge which you can either drive, cycle or walk over. By the Toll bridge there is a car park and toilets if you want to access the trail at this point. There is also a dog friendly pub called George III so you can have lunch with a view.
