Only 7 miles distance from Rhianfa, the ruins of Castle Bere (Castell y Bere) is a wonderful historical gem located in the valley overlooked by Birds Rock (Craig yr Aderyn).

The fortified castle dates back to the 13th century and is built on an outcrop of rock, hidden down winding lanes and obscured from view by trees.

The surviving structure and information boards can help you imagine how it must of been back in the day and the site gives you spectacular views of the valley in which it sits.
